Saw a lark today as it soared above the river.
Captivated yet still I watched its flight.
Up and down the silk river, my heart it delivered,
Carrying on its return your love at night.
Some say only a bird could dare such heights.
On insight, I differ for that’s surely not true.
A love such as ours traipsing through silk river
Reaches an apex – a peak past the winged in truth.
So now, do we boast, share a toast for all,
Upset some apples, and dabble in a told you all?
Not quite, love’s light is loud enough to see.
Like a silk river, it flows true and through quietly.
